A Survivor of Childhood Trauma Finds His Inner Team of Empowering Resources

09 Dec

Tom submitted this enthusiastic comment about the impact of our guided imagery for healing trauma on our blog this past week. We love how he talks about how guided imagery led him to his own inner resources, creating a palpable ‘inner team’ to call upon whenever needed…

Hi Belleruth,

Glad to have found your blog. Just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to ya!

I was actually searching for Peter Levine's Healing Trauma [Ed. Note: These are excellent meditations for healing childhood sexual abuse by the founder of Somatic Experiencing, Peter Levine] on audible and then came across your guided meditation [Also entitled Healing Trauma].

Going through it a few weeks or so has been just so awesome!

I've already been on a pretty good healing path these past few months, but your guided imagery really has been taking things to a new level...very cool to see a lot of the "clever" techniques in there while also experiencing them. (e.g. stuff like "Suddenly you become aware that ..." <-- shows the power we have in our own resourcing that we just need to be "led" to...)

Tonight the vividness of my eyes-closed imagery got wayyy more colorful and clear.

As cool as this is, I can only imagine how touching it must be to produce work that can affect people like this. Obviously it's not just me. [Ed. Note: To his point, we are delighted to report that this meditation for PTS has received a 5-Star rating average out of the 16 reviews posted on our page, and 78 reviews on Amazon yielded an average of 4.5 stars.)

Anyway...thank you so much for your contribution to my life. Thanks for being part of my inner team...much love and gratitude :-)
