College Freshman Snatched from Jaws of Insomnia

02 Oct

My daughter is a college freshman with insomnia. The lack of sleep created more problems for her with stress, concentration and performance. She was sleeping through some classes and her exam-taking suffered as well.  Her mood was affected.  She lost interest in her social life. There was an overall snowballing effect that had my wife and I quite concerned.

I’m an internist with an interest in all varieties of medicine.  My theory is, if it works, pay attention.  One of my patients told me about guided imagery helping her sleep, to the point of gradually eliminating her need for medication over several weeks.  I was impressed.   I searched Google and ordered a download as a gift for my daughter.  I believe it was Healthful Sleep.

I’m surprised and delighted with the results.  She’s sleeping well again and has been for a month.  It took less than a week for her to get back on track.  I’m not sure why this technique works.  When it comes to our daughter, we don’t care.  We’re just glad that it works.  I’m writing to express my gratitude.  You have a new convert in the medical community.  Kudos.
