Director of County EAP is grateful

12 Sep
The Director of a county EAP that provides counseling to early responders names her staff as her inspiration, for giving their all in spite of the overwhelming amount of distress they face every day..
I run a county EAP that provides counseling to early responders - our fire fighters, police officers, EMT’s, teachers and others. My inspiration is my staff of twelve incredible people. They are passionate in their concern for others, gifted in their ability to help them, and staunch and steady in the way they hang in and keep on giving. They amaze me every day.

Four years after 9/11, we are still impacted by the fallout and trauma from the Pentagon, and now our people are dealing with Katrina as well as all the day-to-day distress. But in spite of all that, they give their best. My hat goes off to them and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Please don’t mention us by name, because I did not go through channels to get permission.

A Grateful Boss
