We Always Knew Sleep Made All the Difference.…

12 Feb

We got this very moving email from a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, who suffered from longstanding blocks to getting a good night’s sleep.  It doesn’t always work out so perfectly - that guided imagery can remediate this so quickly. But it happens often enough – quite a lot, in fact - and it’s always wonderful to hear about it.

It’s very encouraging to know that sometimes a good night’s sleep can make everything else seem possible;  and that guided imagery has a very good chance at making that happen – without drugs and with very little effort:  just what it takes to press “PLAY”.

How can you say thank you to someone you have never met?  How can you show gratitude for being given back something so intangible that its value is priceless?

Let me explain. This past Tuesday Jan 29 I saw my psychologist for the first time. I am working through abuse of all kinds, the worst being sexual abuse and rape that I suffered though growing up.

The nights, especially being able to sleep, have never been right because of it. Nightmares, flashbacks, memories that were so awful, I didn’t want to sleep.

My psychologist recommended to visit this website and look in to Belleruth's guided imagery. I had never heard of it, but was willing to try anything. I was either not sleeping at all or getting max 4 hours of sleep a night, I was less of a person in every aspect because of it..

I downloaded the free sample of the guided imagery, listened to it and fell asleep before it was over, at about 9:30 p.m.  But because of the abuse, I wake up every night at about 3 am, because that was when my dad would get home from the bar, get me out of my bed and forced me to do whatever he wanted me to.

That same night I first listened to Belleruth's download, I woke up at 3:18 am, but instead of getting out of bed like I usually do, I listened to the free download again, and before it was over I was asleep again and slept until my alarm went off at 5:00 a.m.

The next night and every night after that, I listened to the download, fell alseep and have not awakened at 3:00 a.m. since.

I feel like a whole person with being able to sleep, I have gone on to my local library and placed a hold for everything they have available that applies to me by Belleruth.

Thank you so much. I am so grateful for what you have given back to me.  I am working on becoming a whole person again and never thought how my not sleeping was affecting me in every way.

Thank you again.
