Will the Real Belleruth Please (Not) Stand Up??

16 Aug
Dear Belleruth,
I have a funny story. My mother recently had knee replacement surgery, and to help her get emotionally ready I sent her the Surgery Pack a few months ahead. To my delighted surprise, she loved the imagery and listened often.
When the day of her surgery arrived, I was with her in the pre-op room. She was getting really nervous, even though they had just given her a dose of the pre-op meds. I suggested to her to remember her CD, and as she closed her eyes, she started remembering your voice, from the very beginning of the recordings.

In a most peaceful manner, she talked out loud: "My-name-is-Belleruth-Naparstek.." I'm glad no one else heard her, or they would have either thought they had the wrong patient, or that she was having a most unusual reaction to the meds.

My mother has recovered from her surgery in record time, and her surgeon told her she could be his poster child.

Best wishes to you,

Jill
