Well, it’s time to get back on the road again. I’m looking forward to seeing many of you over the next couple of weeks, first in Philly and then back home for the Cleveland V.A. Hospital. After that, it’s Oconomowoc, Wisconsin (outside of Milwaukee), then Los Angeles for a big combat stress/PTSD conference, and after that, Indianapolis. Do check the calendar for particulars when you have a chance.

Our ever-so-timely new Allergy Kit combines Carol Ginandes’ state-of-the-art hypnosis with some dynamite aromatherapy resources. allergyRelieve Allergy, Reduce Reactivity provides three, sequenced, self-hypnotic sessions of ten new allergy-containing exercises by our own Harvard health psychologist and mind-body researcher, Carol Ginandes PhD. Geared to diminish symptoms such as congestion, rashes or digestive distress; lessen reactivity to allergens; soothe inflammation; cultivate core equilibrium and build immune stress-hardiness, it teaches crucial self-care skills to anyone with new or chronic allergies, mild to severe. You can listen to a sample here.

sinus pillowAdd to that an incredible Sinus Therapy Pillow, created by an amazing triple-threat nurse, massage therapist and aromatherapy mavin, Karen Kowal RN, LMT (I was lucky enough to meet her and check out her stuff at a NICABM conference 2 years ago) and her BREATHE roll-on essential oils for Sinus Therapy, and we have a kit that offers immediate and longterm relief, both.

The pillow (which comes in high-quality fabrics with great-looking patterns) warms in the microwave to release its pungent sinus-clearing magic, with a little over a pound of comforting flax, interlaced with eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon balm, lavender, spearmint, rosemary, clove and anise. Then you cover your face with it - and it lands on just the right points for relieving sinus pain in the eyes, nose, cheeks, forehead and jaw.

And the BREATHE essential oil roll-on is a blend of 12 essential oils, carefully selected by Karen Kowal for their antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. The combo of eucalyptus, globulus, peppermint, spearmint, tea tree, lavender, rosemary, frankincense, cinnamon, clove, wild marjoram, ginger, benzoine, basil & pine combine to help relieve colds, sinus, asthma and bronchitis, when you massage these oils into the acupoints Karen suggests. You can use it with or without the sinus pillow, but, as you can imagine, used together they really potentiate each other.

This could be an incredibly thoughtful gift, to yourself or to give to a friend or loved one who greets the arrival of spring with fear and loathing. Cindy tells me she’s knocked the kit pricing down by $20, from a regular cost of $66.98 to $46.99. Enjoy!!!

All best,
