The Academy for Guided Imagery will be hosting a real extravaganza of an annual conference on Nov 9-12, focusing on recent gains in the field. Called Imagery Update: 2006, it will be jam-packed with info, ideas, clinical applications and great company, hosted, as it always is, on the fabled grounds of glorious Asilomar, by the Pacific. More information will be posted very shortly on their site - probably by next week. Perhaps I’ll see you there!

Don’t miss Joan Borysenko, speaking on What’s Love Got to Do with It?? .. Everything!. She’ll be talking about the mind-body-spirit impact of love, the connections between love, forgiveness and compassion with health and immunity, and lots more. The ConferenceWorks! has her booked thusly:

September 8-9 Orlando, FL - Sheraton World Resort
October 13-14 San Francisco, CA - Sofitel San Francisco Bay
October 28-29 Cape Cod, MA - Sea Crest Resort
November 18-19 Farmington, PA - Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa

In addition, those way, way Beyond Ordinary Nurses are starting new certificate programs in their superb guided imagery training, one program on each coast, open to all health professionals. There’s a Phase One in San Francisco at the Veterans Hospital on Sept 29-Oct 1st , and a Phase One in Boston at Caritas St. Elizabeth Med Center on October 7-9. This is the first of four segments of very intensive and carefully designed learning and practice, that will leave you super-capable of providing one-on-one interactive guided imagery. You can learn more about it by clicking here.

And don’t forget the legendary NICABM conference, Dec. 4-10, hosted annually at Hilton Head and featuring wonderful speakers presenting the latest ideas in holistic health. Featured speakers will be Caroline Myss, Norm Shealy, Mary Sise, Dale Schusterman, Bob Scaer, Bernie Siegel, Harville Hendrix and many others. I’ll be giving a 2-day pre-conference institute on Fine-Tuning Your Guided Imagery Practice: New Findings & Approaches to Maximize Efficacy & Impact , on December 5-6.

Okay, that’s it for now. Take care and be well!
