Well, so I feel like I turned my attention away for a minute, diapered a grandkid, made myself a cup of coffee.. and while I was gone, trauma treatment turned on its head and transformed – again!

I kid you not, this is the fastest growing psych field I know.

If you're a busy clinician or a concerned family member, there's no way you can keep up with these new discoveries. I mean, NO WAY.

This is very exciting and wonderful, but a tad daunting, I gotta say.

I can't do it by myself. I count on places like NICABM to do my research for me and keep me current. And I was waiting for another on of their teleseminar series to show up, especially after this past year of massive transformation in the field.

Well, so it's here. NICABM just announced a new teleseminar series, free if you watch it at the time it broadcasts, and featuring some of our most iconic and impactful thought leaders: Peter Levine, PhD, Bessel van der Kolk, MD, Pat Ogden, PhD, Stephen Porges, PhD, Dan Siegel, MD, and Sebern Fisher, MA. Yeah, you heard that right.

You gotta sign up if you want to keep up. Seriously.

And if you can't be available at the time of the broadcasts or if you lwant to have well-edited transcripts to read and opportunities to re-watch sessions, you can pay for their gold membership. It's pricey but worth it.

So that's all I have to say. I'm going to be all over this series. Again, you can click here to check it out.

On another note, one of our author-practitioners, child psychologist Charlotte Reznick PhD, has a wonderful story about how guided imagery helped a lonely, socially anxious little six-year-old girl named Chloe get beyond her suffering and into a whole new, successful chapter of her life.

First printed in Psychology Today, it's also featured on the wonderful blog of Imagery International, Imaginews. To get clear ideas on how to use guided imagery with children, check out this excellent piece. It's got a nice roadmap for parents, teachers, therapists or anyone wanting to help a kid in need of some inner tools.

And speaking of Imagery International, don't forget that their annual conference is coming up the weekend of October 24th in Menlo Park, California. More info on this excellent gathering is here.

Take care and be well,
