Well, I hope you had a great holiday weekend. It is my firm belief that Thanksgiving is one of the least neurotic of holidays, as it is primarily about feeling grateful, eating, and watching football. If your family or friends are driving you crazy, you just watch the game with greater focus. Hopefully, you are already mellow from all the tryptophan in the turkey, so that’s an added blessing, too. Anyway, I hope you all had a very good time.

In honor of the gift giving ahead, the HJ team has put together some awesome gift packs and stocking stuffer goodies that transcend the usual meaningless stuff with a special, mind-body-spirit emphasis and a skill-building benefit.

For starters, we have the Kiddie Comfort Gift Pack, that combines Betty Mehling’s enchanting Magic Island, to empower kids by day, with Roxanne Daleo’s soothing, magical Good Night, to lull them to sleep, along with the cutest little soft and snuggly, designer, plush toy you ever did see. It’s all packed in a very pretty gift bag, but these items also fit perfectly into a stocking. Introducing a child to guided imagery is a wonderful thing, because it will encourage the development of self-soothing skills that will last a lifetime.

For grown-ups, we have the Spa Wellness Gift Pack, which consists of Sharon O’Connor’s book, Menus and Music Spa, which offers delicious recipes from America’s most celebrated spas, interspersed with wellness wisdom for revitalizing mind, body and spirit. It comes with a CD of soothing piano music - the better to dine on these most excellent spa creations with - and we’ve added our own, bestselling Health Journeys guided imagery for Relaxation & Wellness, all in a beautiful gift bag - a thoughtful and unique gift for someone you care about who could use a little care and coddling.

We have lots of amazing new stuff for you to check out - Babar’s Yoga for Elephants; Baby Om - yoga for new moms and their babies; Acu-Yoga CDs by Michael Reed Gach for help with Sleep, Back Pain, Stress and Vitality; a hilarious game and brilliant teaching tool, the Yogateers game; the legendary Peak Performance Sports CD, by David Illig (and his CDs for enhancing memory and reducing stress and anxiety, too); a beautifully explained and guided series of exercises by Peter Levine for survivors of sexual trauma, Sexual Healing; our new Health Journeys Pregnancy & Childbirth Sale Pack; and much more. Check out the whole new list on our new product page,

Well, I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at the weekend workshop I’ll be offering on imagery and trauma - the last one of the year - at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency Tamaya at Santa Ana Pueblo, outside of Santa Fe, on December 6th and 7th. It’s going to be well-attended, but there’s still room for a couple more participants. For more details, click on The ConferenceWorks website or call them at 888.517.7089.

All best,
