Clinical social worker, guided imagery specialist and professional translator, Fania Chazen, has helped us produce Relaxation & Wellness in Hebrew.. her poetic words and buttery voice create a profound experience, even without understanding the language!
Hello again.

Everyone here at Health Journeys wants to wish you all a happy holiday! Hopefully you’re not so overwhelmed with things to do and stressful events that you can’t enjoy the peace and joy that comes with the intent of this season.

Here’s a first for us - guided imagery in Hebrew. Fania Chazen, a wonderful clinical social worker, professional translator and guided imagery expert, trained by AGI, has helped us produce our Relaxation & Wellness imagery in gorgeous Hebrew. Even people who cannot understand a word are moved by the sound and feel of this imagery. (... It must be something in the Judeo-Christian-Muslim DNA - something that pings at the cellular level, from all those centuries of shared Aramaic and Hebrew!)

In any case, we’re still waiting for the packaging to get made, but, of course, the downloads are ready now, thanks to the wonders of modern technology. You can click on http://www.healthjourneys.com/Product_Detail.aspx?id=341 and send this relaxing, uplifting imagery as a gift (with an enchanting, be-ribboned e-card) to your favorite stressed-out denizen of Israel!

We have some upcoming events I want to let you know about, too. In March, I’ll be giving a guided imagery workshop (on the 23rd) in San Francisco called Gifts of the Imagination: Surviving & Thriving beyond Cancer. It’s for cancer survivors, their families, friends and health care providers. It will be about the power of using imagery to stay resilient, healthy, relaxed and well, once treatment is over. I’ll be doing guided imagery demos, presenting exciting research results, and showing how to best use this empowering wellness tool.. the works.

Professionals will get Continuing Education Credit Hours for attending this 9-3 workshop, and there are partial scholarships available, too. It’s being sponsored by a group with a name very similar to ours: Healing Journeys, and the first cut-off for bargain rate registration is December 31st. For more information, click here, call 1-800-423-9882 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

And on the following day, March 24-25, in Sacramento, I’ll be part of a wonderful 2-day event, featuring several illustrious speakers and panels - holistic docs, medical intuitives, experts on shamanism and indigenous medicine. It’s the popular Heart of Healing conference series, and it asks and answers the question: How Then Shall I Heal? Sponsored by Insight Journeys, this workshop also offers early registration discounts and work scholarships. For more information and to see the list of luminaries, click on http://www.insightjourneys.com/home.htm , call 530-265-9255 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. And finally, we’ve been offered a special perk to pass along to you - a savings of $450 off Jim Gordon’s much acclaimed, 6-day, Mind-Body Professional Training, which is being hosted in New Orleans this year, from January 27 - February 1st. This is the 13th year for this profoundly life-changing training experience - the same program that The Center for Mind-Body Medicine has offered all over the world, in war-torn places such as Kosovo, Israel and Gaza.

The Center is bringing the training to New Orleans to help with post-Katrina trauma relief, by training as many local health and mental health professionals as they can afford (they are currently offering full scholarships for 20 New Orleans health professionals, and hoping to be able to bring more). By coming to the training, health professionals from all over the country will not only transform their own lives and practice, but they will be supporting recovery in New Orleans as well.

All you need to do to get the discount is mention Health Journeys. More information is available here, or you can email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call (202) 966-7338.

Okay, that’s it for now.
Take care, be well, stay safe and enjoy the light and joy of the season.
