Hello again. Well, our Clinician’s Corner is now featuring a new Practitioner We Love - the knowledgeable and highly respected cancer guide and health writer, Henry Dreher - and an outstanding, new Hot Program The Block Center for Integrative Cancer Care in Evanston, Illinois. If you have time, do click over and check out these excellent and badly needed services to cancer patients and their families.

Henry’s newest book is making quite a hit. It’s called Mind-Body Unity: A New Vision for Mind-Body Science and Medicine, and in this compilation of the best of his mind-body articles, published by Johns Hopkins University Press, you can find his very lively discussion of how and why our Successful Surgery imagery out-performed all the other audio interventions in Henry Bennett’s 5-year study of 335 surgery patients at UC Davis Medical Center. Henry says he is proudest of this book, and justifiably so, even though he has several bestsellers to his credit. Henry has a gift for making complex material clear and simple, but never, ever in a patronizing way.

Our new Weight Loss Combo 3-CD pack is making quite a hit, I’m told. I love the combination of the three very different kinds of mind-body CDs - Martha Howard’s, David Illig’s and mine - all designed to support healthy body weight, focus, strength, and self-esteem, but from very different angles and in very different ways. Lots of mind-body layers are penetrated and many different parts of the brain pinged upon! Makes total sense to me that it works as well as it does, to switch off this way. Same goes for the Stress Relief Combo featuring Emmett Miller’s, David Illig’s and my CDs.

I’m looking forward to seeing some of you on February 19th in Las Vegas at the FACES conference, Mastering Counseling Skills with the Masters, where I’ll be offering 2 keynotes on imagery and trauma (PTSD). For more info, call 877.633.2237 or visit www.facesconferences.com. And to check the rest of my schedule, click on our events calendar at http://www.healthjourneys.com/events.asp

Okay, that’s it for now. Take care and be well!
