Grateful Shoutout to Robert Scaer MD!

04 Jun
Hello, everyone.

First off, a shout-out and many thanks to the ever-generous Robert Scaer MD (author of The Body Bears the Burden and The Trauma Spectrum) for going over my new imagery for TBI to ensure I got the neurophysiology segments straight.  I’ll be recording that next week, at long last.

Bob is legendary for being so gracious about sharing his considerable expertise, that he even makes you feel like you did him a big favor to have asked him for help.

Luckily for all of us, he has a new book coming out with Norton in October. It’s a brief lay book on what happens with the brain and body from stress and trauma, called Eight Keys to Brain-Body Balance. I’m keeping an eye out for it, and I’ll let you know when it’s released.

The 25th Annual Cancer Survivors Day was this past Sunday and to help celebrate, we’re featuring some special resources.  It’s not unusual for chemo or radiation patients to get anxious after getting through their treatment, even when it’s gone extremely well.  The feeling is something like, “OK, so now what do I do?”

This is a really good time for our Healthy Immune System guided imagery, whether you were using imagery during treatment or not.  It boosts immune function, assists with de-stressing and by giving you something proactive to do, and staves off that helpless feeling of “Now what?

Caregiver Stress is another great title for those who care for and worry about a cancer survivor, and whose needs often come last.

Healthful Sleep is another favorite for cancer survivorship – there’s usually a lot of catching up to do in the restorative sleep department, and this is a big help, for survivors and caregivers alike.

And for those who fight a continuing battle with cancer and have come to see this as a chronic disease that needs to be managed with intermittent intervention, we’ve got our Chemo Optimization SuperPack, a powerful combo of Emmett Miller’s highly targeted cellular imagery, Carolyn Daitch’s superb hypnosis for easing discomfort, and my imagery for Chemotherapy and Chemo-Related Fatigue, to provide spiritual, physical and emotional uplift and support.

Do check these titles out for yourself or someone you care about.  Oncology-related guided imagery audios are arguably our most frequently sent gifts – it’s a wonderfully useful and supportive present to give somebody challenged by cancer.

Take care and be well,
