Hello, from the icebox that is Northeast Ohio. I just got back from a very relaxing cruise, got on the scale (yikes!!) and realized it’s time for me to start listening to some weight loss imagery again. It’s been a while since I’ve used it, and I don’t know if it will be as effective as it was 5 years ago, when my metabolism was a tad livelier, but I’m ready to give imagery and the gym some serious attention!

Check out our Hot Research page this week - some very interesting findings about how 20 minutes of relaxation can consolidate learning and enhance incidental memory. This is similar to what we know about getting some sleep after studying for an exam - it can solidify learning. Pretty exciting stuff!

We also have a great Inspiring Story about how even a Type A, super-driven maniac can learn to relax with imagery (at least after a heart attack and quadruple bypass motivated him), and a terrific question this week about left brain, right brain and lefties and righties. Check it out!

If you have time before you leave the site, do check out our brand new titles and special "new year’s resolution"offers to help you with weight, smoking, forgiveness and other noble intentions to try and make 2005 a better year.

Take care and be well,
