Happy New Year, everyone! We continue to work on getting guided imagery to our military, to help with posttraumatic stress, either for prevention or treatment, and we have many leads and potential initiatives underway, thanks to all of you..
Happy New Year, everyone. It pains me to see how this new year has begun, with anguish and suffering cutting such a huge swath through the planet in the wake (literally) of the earthquakes and tsunamis that hit Asia and parts of Africa. I hesitate to write anything here, because the last thing I want to do is fling platitudes around, in the face of such devastation.

The one heartening thing, and I’ve seen it time and time again: natural disasters bring out great goodness in people, remind us that we are all in this together, and if ever there was a chance to stand together and pull together, in common concern and care for our fellow humans in distress, its when something like this happens. It’s my continuing hope, even in the face of such terrible sorrow and continuing danger, that not just individual citizens, but the countries around the globe - ours especially - can learn something and change from this as we work together to look after our fellow humans. That’s my hope.

We continue to work on getting guided imagery to our military, to help with posttraumatic stress, either for prevention or treatment, and we have many leads and potential initiatives underway, thanks to all of you who wrote with contacts, ideas and encouragement. Some ways you can help can be found in my answer to this week’s question. Check it out.

And now to get down to the really mundane and every day, but important nonetheless, we can go from planetary improvement to individual improvement: for those of you whose new year’s resolutions encompass shaping up, quitting smoking, losing unhealthy weight, forgiving the trespasses of others, being calmer and nicer - the usual, in other words - I see that the ever-resourceful Team HJ has put a bunch of self-improving audios on sale, to help you meet your new goals with something to reinforce your good intentions and lend you agreeable support all along the way. Click here to see what they’ve got to help you meet your self-improvement goals.

Okay, that’s it for now. Take care and be well.
