Joy, Strength, Dazzling Courage and Brilliant Strategy on Full Display!!

12 Nov

Hello, everyone.

Well, I saw this and had to stop the presses and post it on this update page.  Please take a look at what Deborah Cohan, OBGYN and Mom of two, did in the O.R. right before her double mastectomy to prevent a likely occurrence of breast cancer later on down the road.  If nothing else, it will set you up to have a lovely day.

It’s also very, very smart and worth imitating under similar circumstances (and even not so similar).

Watch Deb's Operating Room Flash Mob

Not only does she set herself up for maximum success during and after surgery, pumping up her own embodied sense of strength and personal power, juicing up her immune system by eliciting feelings of joy and mastery; but she also coheres her entire surgical team to perform beautifully together as a seamless whole, having just boogied happily together to the same music. Wow. Brilliant.

Normally we would save something like this for our Inspiring Story page, but it’s so darned awesome, I wanted it on the page that gets read the most – this one.

Take care and be well,
