28 Jun
Well, we’ve finally straightened out my speaking schedule, and the new dates are posted on our Events Page. For starters, I’ll be seeing quite a few of you in the Chicago area on July 13-14..
I’m looking forward to seeing quite a few of you in the Chicago area on the weekend of July 17-18 for my final workshop of the year on Healing Journeys: Using the Power of Imagery for Healing, Creativity & Change, designed to tell and show you everything you always wanted to know about guided imagery and how to best use it for maximum benefit - for yourself or, if you’re a health or mental health professional, for those in your care. We have many participants who are struggling with or surviving cancer, cardiac, chronic pain and trauma conditions, along with many, many professionals. (Continuing Education credits are available for social workers, counselors, nurses and massage therapists.) You can register for Healing Journeys by calling 888.517.7089 or clicking on www.conferenceworks.com.

Please check our calendar page - http://www.healthjourneys.com/events.asp - for other, newly posted events. I’ll be in Rutland Vermont at The Peace of Mind Emporium (one of my all-time, very favorite bookstores) on September 9th, and the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY on Sept 10-11. On October 6-7 I’ll be in Indianapolis for the annual meeting of NASW (National Institute of Social Workers), and on October 23-24, I’ll be in Raleigh-Durham for the Phoenix Society World Burn Congress.

I also should mention that we’ve changed some times as well. The ConferenceWorks! has changed the when and where of our NYC area workshop - it’s now scheduled for October 23-4, in East Brunswick, NJ. This is a new, 9-CEU weekend workshop on some of the ideas in my new book, Invisible Heroes: Trauma Survivors and How They Heal. It’s on the unique power of imagery to heal traumatic stress, and it’s for anyone affected by a traumatic event, be it a car wreck, ICU stay, life-threatening diagnosis, traumatic labor & delivery, assault, rape, domestic violence, grievous loss, combat, natural disaster, terror attack, or the like. Early responders, docs, therapists, uniformed officers, EMT workers and journalists should also come.

This workshop will also be given on November 13-14 in Oklahoma City, and on November 20-21 in the DC area, at the Bethesda Marriott. For more information, call 888-517-7089 or click on http://www.conferenceworks.com/ speaker_bnapa.cfm .

In between there, I’ll also be on the West Coast, first in San Diego on October 29,at the popular Mastering Counseling Skills with the Masters Conference (for more info, call 877.633.2237 or visit www.facesconferences.com) and right after that, on October 28-31, to the north, at Asilomar in Pacific Grove for the The Academy for Guided Imagery’s 17th annual conference, with the general theme of Imagery, Creativity and Community. For more information, call 800.726.2070 or click on http://www.academyforguidedimagery.com/ .

Thanks for continuing to offer suggestions for the next batch of Health Journeys audios over at our discussion page. Please keep it up - it’s very enlightening. And don’t forget to check out the terrific new resources we’ve just added to our catalog, over at http://www.healthjourneys.com/product_catalog.asp?cr=&cc=76&ca=&cm=&inum= .

Take care and be well,
