On March 24-25 I’ll be in Sacramento, part of a blockbuster 2-day conference on healing with mind-body-energy medicine with a dazzling roster of speakers and panels for the 2-day Heart of Healing Conference..
Greetings, All.

I want to remind you that on March 24-25 I’ll be in Sacramento, part of a blockbuster 2-day conference on healing with mind-body-energy medicine. I’m delighted to be joining a dazzling roster of speakers and panels for the 2-day Heart of Healing Conference at the Crest Theatre, featuring presentations from renowned holistic docs, medical intuitives and energy healers - Alberto Villoldo, Mimi Guarneri, Eric Pearl, Carol Ritberger and Bill & Susan Buchholz. The entire 2-day extravaganza will be end-capped with a dynamite concert by Grammy award winner Mary Youngblood & Sisters of the Earth, plus sound healer Michael Bayard, for an evening of powerful music and sacred sound healing.

Suzie Daggett of Insight Journeys has designed an ingenious, exciting format that offers plenty of opportunity for dialogue, discussion and interaction. Teachers will share their take-home health and wellness ideas, tips, and tools, while multi-talented participants will have the joy of each other’s company. At the end of each day, presenters get to convene in a panel, moderated by Kay Judge MD and Max Barish-Wreden MD of Sutter Downtown Integrative Health Care, for continued discussion generated by written questions collected from participants.

This merging of master teachers, interactive panels, and participant-driven discussion - not to mention the excitement of being with kindred spirits with their own vast array of talents and skills - will provide a deliciously creative, synergistic environment for the sharing deep, powerful healing practices.

There are early registration discounts, work scholarships and continuing education credits fro practitioners and clinicians. For more information, call 530.265.9255 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

The day before, on March 23rd, I’ll have been in San Francisco, offering an all day workshop called Gifts of the Imagination: Surviving & Thriving beyond Cancer.

It’s for cancer survivors, health care professionals, friends and family and it addresses the question, "OK, what do I do now?". You know, once you’re done with surgery, chemo and/or radiation; you’ve been pronounced "in remission"; and you want to keep doing something to stay as strong and well and resilient as possible. It might even be a little weird, a little anxiety-producing to be off treatment, even though it wasn’t exactly a barrel of laughs while it was going on... but at least it felt like you were doing something proactive to hammer those pesky cancer cells into oblivion.

So I’ll be giving an all-day guided imagery workshop (worth 6 continuing education credit hours) demonstrating how to use imagery geared to help you stay resilient, healthy, relaxed, inspired and strong, after treatment is over. I’ll be doing different kinds of guided imagery demos, presenting exciting, new research results (guided imagery has come a long way from those early Simonton days!!), answering questions, and showing how to best use this simple, practical, empowering healing and wellness tool. And don’t forget, imagery is so flexible, so undemanding and so user-friendly, it can even be used while sleeping! (That’s particularly good news for people who can’t relax and stay awake at the same time.)

It’s sponsored by a terrific organization called Healing Journeys, and you can click here for details. The day goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Newman Hall, Congregation Sherith Israel, at California & Webster in San Francisco. There are partial scholarships, work exchange opportunities and bargain rates for early registration. The next cut-off is February 28th. See you on the West Coast!

All best,
