Hello.
I must tell you about a new book, Extraordinary Knowing: Science, Skepticism, and the Inexplicable Powers of the Human Mind by Elizabeth ("Lisby") Lloyd Mayer. Anyone who enjoyed Your Sixth Sense is going to flip over this book, because it explores much of the same territory (without the imagery exercises), but brings the research up to date and has the very smart, unique voice of Lisby Mayer.

The author, a wonderfully curious, intelligent, open-minded psychoanalyst, weaves her own riveting, personal story throughout the book, making for a great read. Sadly, she died of a chronic illness shortly after the book was completed, to the great distress of all who knew and loved her, including her (and my) fabulous editor, Toni Burbank. To Toni’s great credit, she’s promoting this book with everything she’s got anyway, which is as it should be, but rarely is.

Here is what Chris Northrup (yes, Toni is her editor too) had to say about it:

The beauty of this book is that the author was a first rate scientist and intellectual, who brought all her observational and scientific skills to the study of an area that is considered illogical. What she learned is astounding. This book will challenge those who still insist that things like the efficacy of prayer and intuitive insights are unscientific and can’t be proven. And it will delight those of you who already know that things aren’t what they seem...plus give you all kinds of hard-core evidence to support your point of view. Enjoy this treasure!

You can find it on Amazon, at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0553803352/drnorthrup.com. I promise you, you won’t be able to put it down once you pick it up.

And speaking of all things intuitive, we have a new Intuition Pack that’s flying out of our warehouse these days of Your Sixth Sense and the 4 guided imagery exercise CD, Unlocking Intuition. Check it out if you have in interest in expanding your intuitive abilities.
