Can We Tell Your Story on Our Website?

01 Dec

Hello again.

Hey, so we're initiating a whole, new phase of putting guided imagery out there to persuade people who've never heard of this stuff - nor used it - nor have the first clue about it – to give it a try and learn what it can do for them.

Yep, time to take it to a new level!

We like to think we've done our part in moving the ball forward over the years, starting in 1990 with our first audiotape for chemotherapy patients. Back then, we were considered pretty weird and got a lot of resistance – even, shall we say, derision? - from all sorts of people.

But we knew the value of mind-body medicine and we stuck with it. We got ourselves involved with some solid clinical trials, developed good relationships with hospitals and providers, and even got quite a few pharmaceutical companies (SmithKline Beecham, Amgen, Roche and a lot more) to give our tapes out free.

Bottom line: we managed to get a lot of guided imagery to people, through mainstream health care pipelines - even in a lot of Army and Marine bases, health spas, colleges and universities and Employee Assistance Programs.

But it's still a fact that most people still don't know what guided imagery is about.

So we've decided to splash our website with a bunch of true people-stories, with real names and pictures.

Why we didn't think of this sooner is anyone's guess. But we didn't. (And we get these stories all the time – I mean, day in and day out, 24/7, month after month and year after year - since 1990! We just haven't saved them or used them, except for the occasional Inspiring Story, where we automatically change the name and identifying info.)

So now we're asking: would you be willing to share your story of how guided imagery helped you get through chemo...
or ace an exam....
or have a baby...
or conquer depression...
or help your employees...
or heal your patients?

We'd want to use your actual name and picture (a selfie, even), and we'd need you to say a little something about your life and your work. Mostly it would need to be about your experience with guided imagery. Three or four paragraphs would do it, more if you need it.

A lot of people would see it. If you don't mind that, we'd be grateful. It would help us take this mighty little, user-friendly, portable, efficacious intervention to a whole new bunch of listeners.

You can write me directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , and I'll get back to you with any edits or tweaks we may need to make. Nothing would get posted without your approval, of course.

Thanks for whatever you can do, and all best,
