Well, it’s here - our new CD of mind-body exercises for Stress Hardiness Optimization designed for active military personnel, early responders and others engaged in intense work situations, to cultivate focus, peak performance, concentration and emotional balance …
Greetings, Everyone.

Well, our brand new CD of mind-body exercises for Stress Hardiness Optimization is in the warehouse. This is specifically geared for active military personnel, early responders and others engaged in intense work situations, to help cultivate and maintain focus, peak performance, concentration and emotional balance during life-threatening, adrenaline-packed, chaotic scenarios. It provides a menu of skill training that promotes quick, efficient restabilization of the inevitable biochemical swings that get catalyzed in a super-stressed work environment. (There’s even a strong likelihood that by developing these skills in advance, people can avoid the later acquisition of PTSD, or at least substantially reduce its intensity or duration. That’s not yet been proved, but a combination of logic and other clinical findings makes this a good bet. Indeed, studies to test this hypothesis are being designed, even as we speak…).

This 73-minute CD combines simple, easily do-able exercises, such as conscious breathing, mantra meditation and body scanning, with more complex guided imagery, one for deep relaxation, and another for restful sleep. The unusually varied menu allows people to pick and choose what works best for them - not everyone loves guided imagery, and this program provides alternatives.

All these mind-body tools do the same thing in different ways: bring the biophysical and emotional systems back into balance. The more people practice them, the more quickly and easily they can effect this - even after some deeply disturbing, unsettling or even horrifying events. Once those skills are in place, they’re at your service, 24/7, on the inside. You don’t have to look around for help. It’s been installed.

We also have some terrific new practitioners and titles: Kelly Howell’s Guided Relaxation; Let Go of Stress ingeniously combines simple but powerful imagery with relaxing, harmonic alpha brainwave frequencies and dreamy music. The net effect of her beautiful voice over awesome, Brain Sync technology makes for highly immersive and uniquely effective relaxation.

And I can’t wait to introduce you to The Sleep Fairy! Created by Lisa Malciewicz, a sleep-deprived producer-mom at her wit’s end, this delightful, expertly produced CD is responsible for the happy snoozing of countless kiddies, and their parents. Its menu includes progressive relaxation, remembering the positive events of the day, guided imagery, happy dream suggestions and positive affirmations. Designed for ages 2-7, this 30-minute CD was tested by my niece on her insomniac daughter and found to be dynamite.

And we have more Jon Kabat-Zinn for you. His superb Guided Mindfulness Meditation consists of four CDs of user-friendly but sophisticated, high quality instruction from the master of mindfulness himself, modeling presence and being in the moment, with his beautiful voice, timing and skill.

Okay, that’s it for now. Keep an eye out for our new catalog - it will be in the mail shortly!

All best,
