You’re invited to my next Imagery & Trauma workshop at the Del Lago Resort on Lake Conroe, (Houston) on October 11-12. Details and registration are at The ConferenceWorks website
Hello! Greetings from sunny Sand Key. We just ended our Imagery & Trauma workshop here -- a wonderful group, in a beautiful resort -- and now it’s onward to the Del Lago Resort on Lake Conroe, outside of Houston, October 11-12. Come join us! You can learn more about the workshop and register at http://www.conferenceworks.com/speaker_bnapa.cfm.

And I hope you’ve had time to check out our new research archives. Now you can use the drop down window in the Hot Research box at http://www.healthjourneys.com/archives.asp . Select a topic - anything from addiction/recovery to depression to headache to stroke to weight loss - it’s all there, citations neatly listed by topic about outcomes with imagery, meditation, relaxation, hypnosis and biofeedback, with convenient links to abstracted summaries.

And I hope you’re checking out our new titles! We’re carrying 3 of David Illig’s extraordinary CDs - for Self-Esteem, Weight Loss and Stress & Anxiety Reduction . His technique is a wonderful counterbalance to guided imagery - similar but different - a worthy complement to what you are already with Martha Howard’s excellent guided meditation CDs or with Emmett Miller’s superb hypnosis/imagery work. His audios also include subtle Hemi-Sync tones to accelerate learning, and simple, subliminal, positive suggestions that are strategically designed to act as counterpoint to the hypnosis work. (I’ve read all the subliminal suggestions and they are just fine.)

Health Journeys’ awesome composer-musician, Steve Kohn has just completed a long-awaited new music CD. Inward Journey is a beautiful collection that includes the lush, wide-ranging music from the Healing Trauma imagery; the rousing, energizing, empowering music from our Cardiac Rehab imagery; and the beautiful, evocative imagery from Peaceful Dying . This is a glorious collection for meditators and for those who need gorgeous music to support their narrations of guided meditations to their clients. Whenever I play this new music in workshops, the first thing participants want to do is get the music separately. Now, at last, we can accommodate them.

Another long awaited treasure: we’ve finally got Betty Mehling’s Magic Island on CD format - that fantabulous, groovalicious kiddie imagery, for kids 5-12!! Needless to say, it’s been flying outta here.

And we found a really superb yoga teacher, Sudhakar Ken Macrae, who offers two CDs of Sadhana Yoga. The instruction is elegant in its clarity, simplicity and cleanness, and his Kripalu style instruction goes way beyond the stretches themselves to guide the placement of attention, the breath and the spirituality of the practice. So we’re proud to be including these 2 impeccable CDs in our catalog in a couple of weeks.

And finally, one of my all time favorite DesktopSpa practitioners, Suzanne Scurlock-Durana, has a new CD set called Healing from the Core that is one of the best instructional sets for self-generating energy healing I have heard. These practices are dynamite for increasing energy, balance, presence and resilience in anybody, but they are especially helpful for people with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and other chronic pain and fatigue conditions. Suzanne’s work is available in a 3-session mini-series, and in a full 10-session volume.

OK, that’s it for now. Look around! Enjoy! Click on the new DesktopSpa link and avail yourself of a treatment!

Be well,
