Three New CDs by Belleruth in the Pipeline

08 Mar

Well, good people, at long last my voice is in good working order, and I finally finished recording the Caregiver Stress imagery that I started way back in (yikes!) June of 2008.  Each time I would try to record this imagery, my creaky, croaky voice would stop us in our tracks.  Bruce the Engineer and I would exchange sad looks through the glass of my little sound booth after a few pathetic tries, and I’d take my marbles and go home. I was kind of wondering if this were maybe an irreversible age thing that nothing was going to fix, but then again, we’d had some randomly good sessions over the past few years that kind of belied the idea of progressive deterioration.  It was especially frustrating because I’m very fond of this particular imagery, which was written after reading hundreds of emails from caregivers. I wanted to get it done but couldn’t, at least not with this voice.

Luckily, I had a meeting out in Tucson at Andy Weil’s Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, where, as a side benefit, I got a lot of terrific advice:  Drink tons of water; use a monster humidifier; drink lots of water; lay off dairy and wheat; drink multo water; no diuretics; drink 2 cups of water for every cup of coffee or glass of wine you ingest… you get the picture.  And – ta-da! - it worked!  Bruce the Engineer flashed a big thumbs up through the glass, and we then proceeded to also record our new Immune System imagery (a lot of former cancer patients want to keep using imagery to promote continued wellness, but don’t want any more truck with the cancer imagery and all its unpleasant associations).  On a roll, we then recorded some new imagery for Help with Allergies.  Needless to say, we’re very stoked to have this formula for bringing my voice back from the presumed dead!  So keep an eye out for these new titles!

We had a lot of responses to a blog question about whether worrying about losing a job can cause the loss of said job, due to the Law of Attraction and like notions.  Because I confused some people with my reply, I’m going to address this in more detail in an upcoming update.

By the way, I’m a new, die-hard fan of Tiffany Chen, a who’s created a terrific, easy-to-follow, 88-minute Tai Chi video, Step by Step Tai Chi  that will benefit even the klutziest among us. She’s a wonderfully appealing teacher who offers clear, accessible, expert instruction, and I am nuts about this DVD.  So, along with drinking 42 gallons of water a day, this video is going to be part of my daily regimen.

Okay, take care and be well!

All best,
