CD to help with Weight Loss

17 Nov
Someone who has used guided imagery successfully in the past (but who fell off the wagon, so to speak) wants advice on the best CD for help with weight loss now…
BR,

Could you please direct me to the appropriate CD that will help me in weight loss? I prefer using guided imagery. I have used this method before about 10 years ago, and it did work, but, alas, I didn''t stick with the program. I am a little older and , I would like to think, a little wiser! Please, can you help me???

Dear Barbara,

At the risk of sounding obnoxious, we really have gotten terrific feedback and awesome research results from our own Health Journeys Weight Loss imagery, which comes in both CD and cassette format . This is pure, unadulterated, guided imagery, scored to music, with affirmations as a separate segment. We also have a guided imagery Weight Loss Pack that includes other imagery titles, including Healthful Sleep (did you know that weight loss is correlated to a good night’s sleep?), and two other titles that complement the weight loss imagery: Self-Confidence and Relieve Stress.

But there are also some other excellent audios that would complement our imagery very nicely: Martha Howard’s Freeing Yourself from Excess Weight, which uses a combination of imagery, hypnosis, affirmations and healthful habit ideas and David Illig’s Weight Loss, which uses hypnosis, imagery, Ericksonian metaphors, binaural musical tones and subliminal affirmations. Between these 3 styles, you’ve got a powerful tool kit for weight loss.

If you do decide to try all three, I suggest you saturate yourself with one at a time, listening to one recording at least once or twice a day ''til you’re flat out sick of it; then adding another ''til that one gets old; and then, finally, the third. After you’ve thoroughly soaked up mega-doses of all three, you can alternate between them freely, listening to the one you’re most in the mood for at any given time.

And, keep in mind, continued listening will make a difference - so stay on that wagon this time!

Good luck.
